Post Production (Cover Page)

One of the parts of my magazine that was highly critiqued was my cover page. My cover page used to include many different images and it was in a blocky style, people said it was too much and he focus was unclear; they were right. To revise this, I decided to select only one of the previous images that I had on my cover. Since my feature article is about the midnight sun, a phenomenon that has to do with the time the sun sets in Iceland, I decided the best thing to put on the front would be a beautiful sunset to draw in readers who are interested in that topic; this shows my readers what they are getting themselves into before they begin to read my magazine. For my cover, I selected a beautiful sunset photo that had hints of purple, pink, yellow, orange and blue. I specifically chose an image with wide varieties of color to leave my options open for text on my cover page.

Now that I have changed my cover page , my magazine is really starting to come together and look more professional than ever before. These critiques and changes significantly helped my magazine look more interesting and alluring than my magazine did previously. Even though these changes are more likely to draw in readers, there are still other changes that need to be made to the actual magazine content.
