Since I am not currently able to travel to Iceland for my project and all media used has to be our own, I have decided to try to do two different things; draw my own photos and staging photos to look as if they are in Iceland. By doing this, I could create a cool house style for my magazine, create a fun learning experience, and I could still make accurate representations of what happens during certain celebrations. Drawing my own photos will be what is used for the majority of the images used. I feel like this is a really cool idea since it not only leaves my opportunities and ideas open for what to use for my project, it also can add a really cool style to my magazine. Most travel magazines use pictures from the actual place which is informational and can help people see if they would like to travel to the place or not, but my magazine will have art which will cause people to have reaction similar to "Wow! For my magazine, I will need to find expert sources on Iceland to tell me about fun activities and people's reviews on certain activities. This is necessary to engage the reader and get them interested in travelling to Iceland and get them interested in reading more about the subject.   My first person to interview will be MaryEllen Mancini. MaryEllen is a travel blogger for Hilton Hotels and she used to write for the section on their website called Hilton Mom Voyage. She tends to write about fun family activities to do on vacations with family members of all ages; she has previously travelled to Iceland so she is the perfect person to ask for her opinion on what is best to do for travelers of all ages. Creating my story board for my magazine was very challenging, but also interesting. I struggled in the beginning with sorting out where I wanted to put certain pieces and what I wanted my final piece to look like. Figuring out where to place photos and text,  deciding what fonts to use, and trying to envision the colors you want is so important, as I have learned. According to Filmmaking Across The Curriculum: A Beginners Guide "  Evoking emotion--editing shots in a particular rhythm or style can influence meaning, audience reaction and mood.". My original idea has changed drastically since the beginning of this project. I at first was planning on doing a generic type of travel magazine with pictures, I later decided that something more artistic was more my style.
